- Le Corbusier: Objets-types -
Exhibition from January 18th to March 27th 2021
In collaboration with Galerie Teisso and Bureau Sept, the exhibition Le Corbusier Objets-types is based on a selection of original furniture by Le Corbusier, as well as a range of furniture and objets-types referenced and selected by Le Corbusier. These pieces of furniture, most of them 100 years old, respond to the architect's paradigms: the adequacy of form to function responds to the needs of modern man.
To further explore the relationship between art and furniture, Charles-Wesley Hourdé presents a selection of African art dear to Le Corbusier. Throughout his career, Le Corbusier was interested in the so-called "primitive" arts. The sketches he made around 1908-1090 for the Musée d'Ethnographie du Trocadéro bear witness to this.
